Stop Sign Octagon
This is for indicating priority for the right of way. The sign is intended for use on roadways where traffic is required to stop before entering a major road, and where it is intended that the vehicle shall proceed past the stop line only after ascertaining that this will not cause danger to traffic on the main road. This is a Mandatory/Regulatory sign.
Stop Signs effective and night visibility- Stop Signs are offered in three different grades of reflective aluminum:
- great for parking lots and non-official applications
- High Intensity Prismatic (Type 4) – the most common choice for public road use
- Diamond Grade Prismatic (Type 11) – the best choice for public roads, especially dangerous intersections
